The Ontario Power Authority (OPA), in cooperation with Welland Hydro-Electric System Corp, assisted Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and Agricultural customers to conserve energy and shift their loads from periods of peak demand to lower cost times of the day.

The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program is an incentive program designed to encourage high-efficiency electricity retrofits to existing structures. With all the financial and timing considerations, energy-efficient options may not be the first thing on your mind. So we’ve made it easy for you. The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP) gives you the most energy-efficient solutions to improve your bottom line. Participants in the ERIP program who are planning on retrofitting a building can benefit from great incentives that will save them money.
Whether you're retrofitting from a prescribed list of options or doing a custom job which is unique to your building, ERIP offers incentives based on electricity savings, so there’s something for everybody.
